first off.... go skins! woo hoo! i hope some of you were able to watch the redskins pull off that miracle upset against the dallas cowboys today. ava and her dad were all decked out in their redskin clothes. we got over a dozen comments today when we were walking through the store. hehe.
there will definitely be more pictures coming this week. sorry for the delay. we have been kinda sick and busy. but were all on the way up i think.
sorry, that i forgot to post a video of ava giggling. here it is :) oh, and by the way, even though it looks like she's getting kinda "tossed around" in this video, don't worry, we supported her neck the whole time. in other words: no babies were hurt in the making of this film. ;-)

laughing up a storm
ava was laughing up a storm tonight. even when im so tired, and its been a long week... she sure gets me laughing right along with her. ha ha. i'll post a video of her laughing soon.
we listened to most of the debate over the radio tonight. we were sitting around the kitchen island. i had ava sitting on my knee. we were eating popcorn and drinking hot chocolate while john and obama went at it. felt like we had just stepped back 50 or 60 years. it was really nice.
took this photo in the front yard tonight. i really like it.

surfs up
so heres a few photos of ava before we left on our trip, as well as some from our time at the beach.
by the way, i held on to ava's hands tonight, and she was able to stand for about 5 or 6 seconds on her own, while i helped her with balance. so fun.
she has been laughing a lot at her mommy's singing lately. there is nothing in the world like that laugh. i thought the smile was fun. her laugh totally cracks me up.

ocean city
Well, Ava got introduced to the beach this week. ;) We got to spend a few days with Tony's family in Ocean City, MD and loved it!
Hanna and Ike sent some pretty big waves. We have had overhead waves every day this week. And even had some 15 footers for a few days. Tony and his dad have been enjoying bodyboarding and lots of other surfers are loving it.
This is the beach that Tony went to every summer while growing up, so it's cool that Ava gets to visit for her first summer.
By the way, 3 days ago, Teressa taught Ava how to grab ahold of her own toes, and the very next day she kept doing it again on her own! Thats her new favorite trick.
It's just been a beautiful trip. Family. Weather. Waves. What a great gift of rest God gave us.
