Ava also made things a little more exciting for me by having a record breaking diaper blowout while we were waiting for the nurse to come in. Poop all over from her toes to her hands (gross), her clothes and her car seat. We had to have a little wipe bath before the nurse could weigh her. The last time we were there she peed on the scale. . .I don't know what kind of reputation she's going for.
She also got her first couple of shots. She was very brave and only cried a tiny bit after the second one. We're having them done on a delayed schedule so she only had to have those two.
Ava is really getting more and more fun to play with. She laughs and smiles so much. And she's really getting talkative. She looks so earnestly at me while she's "talking", it's really cute. Her favorite time of the day is when I first wake her up in the morning and change her diaper. She just smiles so huge and wriggles and coos like she can hardly contain her glee. I'm so glad she's so happy to be alive.
Last weekend Tony was playing the guitar and singing and Ava started "singing" along with him, looking right at him and just cooing and cooing at the top of her voice. It was really sweet and one of my favorite memories of her so far.
Here are some more photos from our trip to Washington a couple of weeks ago...
these are some photos from when we went to the thurston county fair. teressa went to this fair every year growing up. it was a lot of fun and tony even got to discover why eating an elephant ear is so great. this is lizzy hanging out while her husband was eating some hot dogs.
1) Young farmers are more than happy to show you the parts of a pig that yield the best meat.
2) Never pass up $1 hotdogs. Your at the fair-it's your responsibility.
3) Sometimes when it seems like everything is going perfect, a moment later you may have an accident and find yourself petting the pigs in nothing but your diaper and cowboy boots.
this is the house teressa lived in from age 10 - 18. we got to stop and see it. it's up for sale...teressa. jessica. gretchen. esther. megan.
esther's daughter - ellie
