Ava's First Sick Day . . .or Week

So Ava has been sick this week. It's the first time she's been sick other than teething or just acting like she didn't feel good for a day. She came down with a fever on Tuesday and then broke in a rash on Wednesday. So I took her to the Dr just to make sure it wasn't something serious. She was negative for swine flu and strep so he said it was probably roseola (a common childhood illness) or just one of the other viruses going around right now. Her fever's gone now but she still not feeling so hot, as evidenced by her wanting in my lap one second, crying because she wants off of my lap RIGHT NOW a second later, not wanting to play with any of her toys and only wanting to get into everything she knows she's not supposed to. It's hard because there's nothing I can do to help her really. Poor thing.

And poor me, I can hardly get her to even help me put the pillows on the bed these days, I have to do all the chores by myself! Yesterday she even laid down on the bathroom rug with her Little Suzy Homemaker broom in one had and my feather duster in the other while and I had to finish dusting our bedroom all alone. Wicked child.

But in the midst of being ill, she has managed to learn a few new dance moves. Like stomping her feet in place and dancing with a partner (either her baby doll or stuffed frog). Hope to catch those on video soon.

Here's some pictures from our trip to WA a couple months ago. Better late than never right?

Playing in Papa Jim and Grandma Margie's backyard

Showing Papa around

"That dog looks crazy Mom"

"Mom! Tell Papa to get his finger out of my armpit or I won't come visit ever again!"

"Worked like a charm."

"I got Papa wrapped around my finger"

Riding the carousel with Grandma at the zoo. Fun!!!

Everybody likes trampolines

"That was wild!"

ooohhh...sorry Ava's not feeling well. Give her a get well kiss from her auntie. Also, I remember Morgan really loved the Pedialyte pops when she wasn't feeling good. The are healthy and make kids feel all better (atleast for the time being)...oh, and sticky - that's always good. ;-) Love you guys! Can't wait to see you soon! ( I am surprised Anthony doesn't have a count down going) haha
