Disco Fever in Florida - Part 3 of 3

Well, here it is. The last entry on the Florida trip. I just had so much fun taking photos that I wanted to share ALL of them with you. :-)

We got to visit the beach for a day on our drive back to the airport. Ava had lots of fun and is certainly a beach bum just like her Dad. She even ate some sand and really seemed to like it. But we went ahead and put an end to that, even though I was a little bit curious as to how much sand would she eat before realizing that it was disgusting...
(by Tony)

Ahh.. shovel and pale. I still can't say those two words together without thinking of blues clues.
Thank you Steve in the green striped sweater.
Thank you very much.

We started throwing some french fries.
We wanted some birds to come close for Ava to see.
She thought it was hilarious and was cracking up.
She screams "Tweet Tweet" while waving her arms at her side.
But the real gem came at the end of the day.
I decided to take another swim since the waves were perfect for bodysurfing that day.
I looked onto the beach to see if Teressa was packing up.
I saw her grab the beach blanket and lift it up to shake it out.
At that moment, about 2 or 3 dozen birds surrounded her.
Turns out that we had some snacks in the blanket.
When she flicked the blanket, those snacks landed right by Ava.
I just saw Teressa on the beach jumping and whipping the blanket around as she tried to keep the birds away from Ava.
I still laugh when I see it played out again in my mind.

Hello, this is the Rizzo residence, can I help you?
Oh, whats that?
You need a new cover photo for you beatles album?
I have one for you.

Hello, this is still the Rizzo residence.
What, now you need a cover for your 70's disco fever album?
Well, it just so happens that I can help you with that too!

Okay, so are you ready for another funny story?
It went a little something like this:
Tony: Come on, let's go jump in the water and go swimming!
Teressa: Well, maybe we can just walk around in the shallow part for awhile.
Tony: You don't want to go in?
Teressa: Well, just not right now. I feel like there might be sharks out there.
Tony: What? No way!
Teressa: I just feel like there might be some today, I don't know why.
Tony: We have a much better chance of getting in a car wreck or struck by lightening then we do of getting bit by a shark.
Teressa: I know. But I just still feel like that for some reason.
Tony: Watch, I'll ask this guy walking by if there are any sharks. He looks like he probably lives around. Hey buddy! There aren't any sharks around here, right?
Passer-by: Well, actually an 11 year old boy got bit in this very spot a couple of days ago.
Tony: Well, it looks like you won't be going in today after all...

Love that crazy baby face.

Memorize this face.
Because this is what I'll look like for the first million years in heaven.
Joy.

Fact: Nothing melts this Dad's heart like Ava blowing him a kiss.

Look at that Ocean Mom!
Another fun moment came as Teressa and Ava were playing in shallow water.
Teressa's back was to the ocean and she was crouched down.
Ava was looking at Teressa and the ocean over Teressa's shoulder.
All of a sudden, Ava starts making fishy sounds, like when she was at SeaWorld.
It was hilarious to see Teressa jump up.
Were not sure what Ava saw, but the thought of a fishy swimming up sure got Teressa's heart beating faster.

Life is full of teachable moments.
Sand castles. check.
Sand pies. check.
Digging holes in the sand. check.
I think my job is done here.

Who is that serious person studying oranges in the background?

pinch.
those.
cheeks.

Thank you Jesus for giving me a child who likes to laugh.

What a sweet moment.

Cable.
Do I really need to say anything else?
We stayed at a hotel this night and Ava discovered cartoons.
She has also started to see her parents and learn from them.
She now likes to lay back on some pillows and pull the blankets over her legs.

Granddad helping Ava with the.... what are these?
They aren't monkey bars.
Are they monkey rings?

Ava and her Grandma playing hide n seek.

Great Great Grammies sure love their kisses.

Please submit a caption for what Ava is thinking in this photo.
