Life is good during this pre-Christmas season. We are all starting to feel much better, though were carrying kleenex boxes with us wherever go. I (Tony) had some great phone calls at GFA today and it is so encouraging to talk with people who are also exciting about planting churches in Asia.
Ava is getting really good at her puzzles. She has a couple of wooden puzzles with animals. Her favorite thing is to put the animal in the wrong spot and yell "No." She then puts the elephant piece onto the alligator and yells "No." And then slams it into the right spot.
We walked around downtown Carrollton and downtown Grapevine this weekend. It was nice to dance to the Christmas music, look at the lights, and show Ava her first big gingerbread house. A lot of the shops have homeade cookies and apple cider available, so that was fun too.
She learned the word "Pretty" recently, so when she sees Christmas lights out the window, she yells "Pweeeeety!"
She has also gotten a lot more pro-active about giving "high-fives" and "pound its." She will walk into a room and run up to you with that fist ready. But she also wants to give everyone high-fives once she starts. So my new favorite game is to wait til Teressa is on the other side of the room and yell "Ava, high five!" She'll give me one and then hold her hand out in Teressa's direction. Tress then has to walk across the room, because Ava will hold her hand out there for as long as it takes.
I have been playing with some of our wedding photos from almost 4 years ago. Let me know what you think?
