Above is a compilation of the same costume over a period of a couple of years.
The picture to the left is when we originally got the "horse" costume, she was about 5 months old. Thank you Clearance section at Wal-Mart.
The middle is last years. You can see that the sleeves went up to her elbows and we had to cut holes where the feet used to be, but the horsey costume did really well as a cow costume!
This year, I thought, "Why mess with something that works so good?" So you can see that her costume has been reborn. The sleeves are now very short sleeves and and the legs have been replaced with cut off shorts. The belly... well, there was no closing that up. :-)
Of course the cow enthusiasm would not have been complete without "Bear" also getting dressed up. Ava thought "Bear Cow" was hilarious. And the employees at Chick-Fil-A loved him!
They gave us more food then we could eat today. Ha Ha. But I was impressed with the good quality of the kids meals. Apple Juice, "Real" chicken nuggets, and a seasonal fruit cup. Score!
So my favorite part of the whole adventure was in the car right before we went in. I decided it was time for me to put on my cow ears and nose. Ava was sitting behind me and every time I would add another piece, I would turn around, and she would start laughing super hard. She would scream "Cow Dada! Cow Dada!" It made my day to see how much she was enjoying it.
She loved giving high-fives to all the guys in cow costumes. I was impressed... there was about 8 cow impersonators walking around. Lots for little Ava to look at.
